5257. The tomb of Joseph of Arimathea located in the Strian Chapel at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. According to all four Gospels, Joseph of Arimathea was a secret disciple of Jesus, whose body he buried in his own tomb. Virtuous and rich, he held a high office, and gained Pontius Pilate’s permission to obtain Jesus’ body.
