568. CAPERNAUM – REMAINS OF THE SPLENDID SYNAGOGUE NEAR THE SEA OF GALILEE DATING FROM THE 4-5TH C. AD. IT STOOD IN THE CENTREE OF THE VILLAGE MENTIONED MANY TIMES IN THE NEW TESTAMENT IN CONNECTION WITH JESUS’ MINISTRY. IN FRONT OF THE SYNAGOGUE ARE THE REMAINS OF ‘PETER’S HOUSE’.
