5655. The Shulchan Aruch, in Hebrew “Set Table” is a codification, or written manual, of halacha, the Jewish law, composed by Rabbi Yosef Karo in the 16th century. It is considered the most authoritative compilation of halacha since the Talmud. Published in Dyhernfurth, 1783
