5823. Magdala synagogue dating c. 50-100 AD located at the western shores of the Sea of Galilee. Magdala, was the birth place of Mary Magdalene, one of Jesus’ most devoted followers.
Pic. Shows a stone that was found in the main hall of the synagogue, carved on 5 sides, on one of them depicting a seven branched Menorah (candelabrum).
