5357. The prism (known as The Taylor’s Prism) contains important historical information on the Neo Assyrian empire, c. 9 to 7th. C. BC. The inscription contains the anals of king Sannacherib 704-681 BC. Inscriptions like this were ussualy made to celebrate the completion of an important building project, in this case the king’s palace in Ninveh.
