4951 (42). Serpentine Cylinder Seal, Mesopotamia: late Akkadian period, 2254-2154 B.C. Cylinder seal depicting Etana, first king after the Flood, ascending to heaven on the wings of an eagle, while the shepherd, the potter, as well as the cattle look up in amazement. ‘And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into the Heaven by a whirlwind…’ 2 Kings 2:1.
